Twelve Days

Countdown

Two weeks and two days til take-off. Despite an irritating and somewhat cloying U.S. based "Admissions Director," I went ahead and signed up with the Academia Latinoamericana de Espanol in Quito, Ecuador. Not before calling the school and verifying her legitimacy, of course.

However, I have yet to:

• Make reservations for the Inca Trail (1/29/2007)
• Find health insurance for my trip (2/01/2007)
• Finish my Peace Corps paperwork (1/29/2007)
• File reimbursements with the Peace Corps for my medical review
• File health insurance reimbursements for my vaccines/dentist/etc.
• Solidify my finances (retirement, etc)
• File my taxes (1/31/07)
• Order a new credit card (1/24/2007)
• Cancel my gym membership (1/24/2007)
• Cancel my cellphone
• Cancel my magazine subscriptions (01/24/2007)
• Change my mailing address (1/25/2007)
• Remind my Landlord that I'm leaving (01/23/2007)
• Send my worldly goods home to the folks
• Sell my not-so-worldly goods
• Archive all my documents at work and burn them onto CD's
• Archive my home computer and make backup copies of EVERYTHING
• Write thank-you notes for my Christmas presents (they're coming soon, Aunties, I promise)
• Pack
